The Holy One Blessed is He sits and sustains all creatures, from the horns of the 're'emim' to the eggs of lice etc. (107b)
In the first blessing of Birkas Hamazon we say:
HAZAN ES HAOLAM KULO – "He who feeds the entire world etc."
We do not say HAZAN ES KOL HAOLAM, which could also be translated as "He who feeds the entire world."
There is however a slight difference between the two versions. Ther the word KOL, - all, could be translated as 'the majority, whereas KULO means 'the entirety'.
When we say Birkas Hamazon we praise Hashem that he sustains every biological creation in the world.
