A Hidden Message
The Kaf HaChaim notes that the first letter of our Maseches is a 'taf' and last letter an 'alef'. Rav Ashi, the author of the Gemara is hinting to us that if we study the Torah (containing 22 letters from 'alef' to 'taf'), we will merit to experience the final geulah which will be a world of Shabbos.
