The Klausenberger Rebbe zt"l once said that it is obvious to him that the reason why Rebbe (the author of the Mishna) arranged Maseches Shabbos in 24 chapters is in order that … one should study 1 chapter of the meseches every hour of the duration of Shabbos!
[The Torah Temima relates that his uncle the Netziv used to spend every (Friday) Shabbos night reviewing the Mesechtos of Shabbos and Eiruvin verbatim!]
